Number three on the list brings up a fairly common theme with New Year’s Resolutions…

They tend to be empty words.

It’s pretty easy to jot down a few goals for the new year. It’s even easier still to just say them out loud without even bothering to put ink to paper.

Unfortunately, that’s about as far as many resolutions go.

No permanency. No plan. No accountability.

These written words or uttered saying never evolve beyond being vague, open ended wish lists without a specific targets or timelines in mind.

Worse still, there are no corresponding behaviours that are linked to any of these.

In health and fitness, one of the most common resolutions is the oft proclaimed and rarely scripted “This year I’m going to lose weight!” goal.

But what does that even mean? Is that 5, 10 or 15 lbs? Is that going to take you 3 months? 6 months? All year?

Will you forget about this resolution the next time temptation is placed in front of you in the form of warm, gooey brownies drowning in hot fudge sauce and topped with rich, creamy ice cream?

That typical resolution list sure doesn’t seem equipped to handle the task at hand.

It doesn’t list the simple behaviours you’ll need to consistently follow to accomplish your lofty goals. It doesn’t direct you to exercise 4-5 hours a week. It doesn’t tell you to cut out calorie containing drinks. It doesn’t list the number of veggie servings you will be eating every day.

Like I said, empty words. With too much room for excuses.

Yours in movement.

…for an A$$ kicking workout can be found in your own home.

Now for some of you out there, you may prefer the gym.

The atmosphere. The sights. The sounds. The smells.

I know I do.

I love the sound of iron clanging against iron. I love the feel of deep knurling ripping into the tender flesh of my palms (yes, I do have soft hands!). I love the look and feel of heavy plates and heavy dumbbells. The grunts and groans of effort (or attention seeking-look at me, look at me!).

I do admit however, the smells I could usually do without. I understand the deep human need to form habits, but seriously, after working out in a certain outfit, WASH IT! I don’t care if you wear the same baby blue T and Addidas shorts ever single day, just make sure you’ve killed the fungus that’s been growing on them.

Okay, now that my rant is over, here’s the point of this whole post.

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to get to the gym as often as I do.

But…

If you can’t get to a gym, you have everything you need at home to get in phenomenal shape.

A while back I talked about the ultimate home workout weight set.

If you didn’t catch that post, you can check it out HERE.

I won’t rehash what’s been hashed (if I can even say that), but I will say that with the proper progression of bodyweight exercises, you can push yourself and achieve amazing results.

Using your body, and perhaps some household items, or even a few pieces of easily purchased equipment, you can create any number of workouts (limited only by your imagination!) that will help you burn body fat, build muscle and get in awesome shape.

All in the comfort of your own home.

Stay tuned as I open your eyes to the incredible options available for bodyweight training over the next couple weeks.

There are big things coming your way…

Yours in movement.

Dev Chengkalath

P.S. Keep your eyes open for a big anouncement coming soon…

So how’s your diet?

Ok, first off, I hate the term diet, but I knew it would get your attention.

So…what’s your answer?

Are you on a specific eating plan?

Do you have a nutritional system in place?

Or are you like most people who “wing” it?

Most people “know” the basics of good nutrition. They “know” what food is good for them. They “know” what food they should be eating. They “know” what foods they should avoid.

So why are people getting bigger and fatter? Why is obesity becoming a bigger and bigger problem if everyone “knows” nutrition?

The answer, my friends, is quite simple.

It’s not the knowledge that’s lacking, it’s the application of that knowledge. It’s great to have all this information available at your fingertips.

If you have a question about nutrition, you can just type your search term in to google and in a few moments, you’ll have pages and pages of information at your disposal.

But these searches won’t usually give you the answers to those fundament and burning questions deep within you.

Tell me, have you ever wondered which diet is the best one? Which one will lead to the greatest weight loss? Which one will slim you down or give you washboard abs?

Most importantly, which one you can stay on perpetually without starving yourself?

What if I told you I know of a system that can do all that and more?

And what if I told you it’s quite simple to implement?

Would you be interested?

Would you want to know more?

Would you be willing to face your fear of success, or challenge your fear of failure?

The choice is yours, get your free copy of Nutrition Strategies For Success.

You’ve got nothing to lose.

Live Powerfully.
